Some say that living with fear is healthy. Everyone is afraid of something. You may have heard popular phrases such as, “Accepting your fears,” “Managing your fears,” “Embracing your fears,” or, “Coping with your fears.” The world has all of these ideas on how to live with fear as an accessory. I have read several articles of advice, but then I remember that fear is a lie from the devil. Our Creator never intended us to live with fear.
Fear puts limits on your experiences. There are so many foods I’ve sampled and found to be so delicious that I missed out on because I was too afraid to try new things. Some people have a deep desire to see the world but have decided that it wasn’t for them because they are too scared to fly.
Fear limits our potential. So many renowned speakers share stories about being afraid to speak. If they had never moved forward, we would have missed so many bits of wisdom.
Fear can keep you from being the person you want to be, the person you need to become. So many talents and gifts would have fallen by the wayside if everyone allowed fear to stop them.
Fear is destructive and ruins lives. It creates jealous spouses, hoarders, and so many other labels, but learning to live with your fear is not the answer. Trying to ignore fear is not the answer. Getting rid of your fears is the only solution.
If it is “natural” to live with fear, why is that not clearly spelled out to us in the Bible? In fact it’s just the opposite. So many times in the pages of Scripture, we read, “Fear not.” If it is reasonable to accept fear, why would God command us to be unnatural by saying, “Fear not?” The Bible says, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all of my fears”? If it was God’s plan for us to embrace our fears, why doesn’t the Bible say, “I sought the Lord, and He helped me to accept all my fears”?
God never intended for His people to live with fear. His desire is just the opposite. He wants us to have a more abundant life by prospering in all aspects of our lives.
The Bible says that fear is torment. So many people are living needlessly with fear, worry, and anxiety. Jesus tells us to cast away our fears because fear will always keep us from believing and accepting the promises of God. But when we receive the promises of God, we will see them come to pass in your life.
Are you tired of living with fear? God can deliver to you! Ask God to help you and provide you with all your worries.

Good read. God didn’t give us a spirit of fear but of power and glory!

Yes, that is something I have to declare over myself and children every day. Thank you.
