Trusting is hard to do. During our lifetime, we have so many let downs that it becomes hard to trust. Broken promises, false accusations, and people not showing when we thought they would. All of these situations lead us to mistrust. Man fails us every day. This must be why the Bible says to forgive a single person seventy times seven times a day.
There is one person that I put my trust in day after day. I do trust that my husband will help me meet our family’s needs. I trust that my children will understand situations in our home, and I trust that my extended family members will be there if we ever need help. That’s a lot of trust, but it’s not where my trust lies, because there are days that my children are too disappointed to understand, or my husband is unable to see what I think we need. And my family may not always be around or available.
But I do trust God. Completely and whole-heartedly. I trust that He uses every opportunity He has to work for my good.
I Trust His Timing. I sometimes laugh and think He must like suspense because everything I need is always provided even when I think it’s down to the last wire. Whether it’s something that’s always there, and I never give it a second thought or when that unexpected situation “takes care of itself.” I know who actually handled it. And even when the last hour has come and gone, He swoops down, and all is great again. His Timing is Perfect.
I Trust His Plan. Even when today’s outlook seems so out of line, I know that nothing goes unseen by His eyes. I know that he is working in the background, and His unique and handcrafted plan is in the works. When I feel like there is so much fog and I can’t see the path ahead, I know that I can trust His plan for my life and it’s direction. His Plan is Perfect.
I also Trust His Place. God has appointed me to my current position, and He knows exactly where to find me when it’s time for my work to be recognized. Just like He had David fetched from the field, He will call on me when I need to move. His Place for me is Perfect.
Our God is wonderful. He is full of love, grace, and mercy. He knows our names. He knows our hearts and our potential. He knows what situations await us next week and what is happening to us today. If we lean in and Trust Him, he will always come through.
